UEC Members Experience Outage

Umatilla Electric Cooperative members experienced a power outage on Tuesday, August 31 for a duration of 55 minutes. The outage began at approximately 9:12 a.m. due to a BPA power interruption at the Hat Rock substation. Approximately 1886 UEC members were affected by the outage. Service was restored at 10:07 a.m.

A rural electric cooperative is a private, nonprofit enterprise, locally owned and managed, and incorporated under State law.Umatilla Electric Cooperative is a member-owned rural electric distribution utility where each member has one vote in the affairs of the cooperative, regardless of the amount of electricity they use.
