Summary of Electric Rate Schedules

How Rates Are Set -

Rates charged to Umatilla Electric's customers are based on a number of factors. Rates per kilowatt-hour of use vary, depending upon the type of account (residential, commercial, industrial or irrigation), usage, season or other factors.

Residential Rate  - Schedule 1

To single-family residential customers for all electric requirements when all service is supplied at one point of connection.

General Service Rate - Schedule 2

Seasonal accounts, three-phase residential accounts, domestic accounts, single-phase irrigation accounts and  commercial accounts that have a historical measured demand of less than 25 kW  are billed on this rate schedule. All electric service is supplied at one point of connection.

Level One Commercial Rate - Schedule 3

To commercial customers that have a kW load size between 25 and 100 kW. Service shall be 60 cycle, alternating current at such voltage as the Cooperative has available.

Level Two Commercial Rate - Schedule 4

To non-irrigation Customers that have a load size of 101 kW to 300 kW. Service shall be 60 cycle, alternating current at such voltage as the Cooperative has available.

Level One Industrial Service Rate - Schedule 5

To non-irrigation Customers that have a load size over 300 kW.  Deliveries at more than one point, or more than one voltage will be separately metered and billed.  Service for intermittent, partial requirements, or highly fluctuating loads, or where service is seasonally disconnected during any one-year period will be provided only by special contract for such service.

Level Two Industrial Rate - Schedule 6

Rate for customers that have a kW load of more than 5,000 kW and a minumum monthly kWh usage of 30% of the kW load size times the number of hours in that month. Deliveries at more than one point, or more than one voltage will be separately metered and billed.

Level One Agricutural Irrigation Rate - Schedule 7

To multiple-phase Agricultural Irrigation Customers that have a load size of less than 100 kW. Service shall be 60 cycle, alternating current at such voltage as the Cooperative has available.

Level Two Agricultrual Irrigation Rate - Schedule 8

To multiple-phase Agricultural Irrigation Customers that have a load size of 101 to 300 kW. Service shall be 60 cycle, alternating current at such voltage as the Cooperative has available.

Level Three Agricultural Irrigation Rate - Schedule 9

To multiple-phase Agricultural Irrigation Customers that have a load size over 300 kW. Service shall be 60 cycle, alternating current at such voltage as the Cooperative has available.

Area Lighting Rate - Schedule 8A

Applicable to all consumers for dusk to dawn outdoor lighting where service is available under existing line extension policies.

Street Lighting Rate - Schedule 8S

To Members for dusk to dawn outdoor lighting where UEC does not incur any line extension costs.

City Area Lighting Rate - Schedule 8G

To governmental entities for dusk to dawn outdoor lighting where UEC does not incur any line extension costs.
